Synopsis "The Bear at Cinnamon Lake"
Newlywed Meredith Marsten and her husband Mark Redcloud are enjoying their first summer as Managers/Owners of Baldwin Lake Fishing and Hunting Lodge when a fisherman at their Cinnamon Lake outpost is viciously mauled by a bear. Another fisherman in the party is safe, but the third man has disappeared. The bear attack sets in motion two wilderness journeys: the one of the missing man and the one of the attacking bear. The reader follows man and bear on their trek through the boreal forest of Canada, sharing their adventures and surprises.Meanwhile Meredith determines to get answers to some troubling questions: Why did the bear attack and why one man and not the others? What happened to the missing man? The answers to these questions are gradually revealed as the story progresses.
