Who are the nefarious Dr. Lipsius, the three impostors and Seppius Bone? A race against insanity ensues on the streets of Liverpool as Inspector Pilgrim is driven deeper and deeper into madness, lost in a labyrinth of illusion from which he cannot escape; he becomes trapped in the Devil's Workshop.
