Synopsis "The Other Witness"

There are many things to be learned in the desert, particularly from the one and only survivor of the Apocalypse. Vayle, a young boy on his way to find the Garden of Eden, gets lost and finds just such an old man. The old man teaches Vayle many things, like how to handle the rudeness of angels and how to avoid hailing frogs. He teaches him about the dangers of bad batches of culinary spices and how they can lead to very horrible things. He teaches him about the joys of sitting in a chair without a seat, of which aren't any. He also teaches him about what actually happened to cause the Apocalypse and why people are so annoying. Vayle, in return, teaches the old man how to make sandwiches with smiley face mustard designs. Then Vayle meets the bad guy and learns some very different lessons. The Other Witness is the sixth novella in the Angry Edenites series, which is about four people who go looking for the Garden of Eden. Luckily, they have a map.
