Ron Hubbard, fue un escritor estadounidense de libros de ciencia ficción y fantasía, filósofo, y el fundador de la Iglesia de la Cienciología. En 1950, Hubbard escribió Dianética: la ciencia moderna de la salud mental y fundó una serie de organizaciones para promover la dianética.
