The Trouble with Tonsils is a charming children's book, written in rhyming verse, that details the experience of twin sisters who each need to have their tonsils removed. With support of everyone from their mother, brothers, and sister, to the nurses, surgeon, anesthesia provider and the hospital chaplain, the girls are able to go through their procedure without a hitch.The twins are great role models. Kathy Stitz has been a Registered Nurse for over forty years. She has been employed in numerous specialties throughout her nursing career, from obstetrics during her tour of duty in the Air Force, to education, infection control, administration, and surgical services. Her major love has always been patient education. She has written on the subject for nursing magazines and spoken at several nursing conferences. Kathy is married and lives with her husband JD near Seattle, Washington. She has recently retired and is in the process of writing a series of books to prepare children for having surgery.
