Synopsis "Use of natural coagulants any treatment of effluent"
With the increase of the world population, food production has also increased to meet these needs. As a consequence of these factors we have the increase of the use of natural resources, among them it is possible to emphasize the water that after being used throughout the process ends up generating effluents with high pollutant load that if not properly treated can lead to great environmental problems. To minimize this problem the treatment of these effluents is done and one of the mechanisms used is the coagulation. The coagulating agents may be of chemical origin such as aluminum or iron, or of natural origin, also called polyelectrolytes, such as moringa, chitosan and tannin. The advantages of the use of polyelectrolytes are numerous, since they can be used in the treatment of effluents from various segments of the industry, treatment of domestic sewage and even for treatment of drinking water, in addition to presenting lower cost, greater efficiency and, smaller logo volume generated in comparison to the coagulants of chemical origin, in addition to lower toxicity and can be discarded more easily and even be used in agriculture as fertilizer.
